“ Finally was able to try this place! I was nervous that it'd be over-hyped but it's just as good as the hype is. Brunch was delicious and the interior was so cool. We made a reservation for 5 and got a booth clearly designed for four, which was the only negative. Definitely make a reservation if you're going on a weekend! ”
“ I enjoy trying new places to dine in Memphis! This is my first time here so I went with the recommended SAUSAGE BISCUIT with egg and cheese and their special sauce on the side. I also had a CEASAR SALAD with chicken. The biscuit was a little hard to me but if that's what the standard is then it's honestly okay. The salad was fresh and the type of chicken that was on it had a sweetness to it that I enjoyed! It's nestled in a nice corner in Harbor Town and the service (and parking) worked out well! ”
“ We go here almost weekly with a small toddler. It's in my opinion, the best. Kinfolk has an aesthetic and brand that follows through in the quality of the food. There is a craft and creative edge that most restaurants fall short in. My favorite is the breaky bowl, my boyfriend loves the breakfast burrito, and we always order the griddle cake to go. The biscuits are herby, the butter is sagey, the strawberry jam tastes homemade. The oatmeal is also amazing and watching them plate up the full meal of grits has me excited for our next visit. The staff are kind and feel familiar. The customer base is diverse and honestly, tells the story of memphis in the best kind of way. If you're on the fence, here's your sign: drive downtown and splurge on a good local business. ”
“ Oh my goodness! I have been wanting to dine at Kinfolk for months but didn't have the chance until this past Saturday. I went one time but it was too busy and to go was a no go that day. I was disappointed but was so HAPPY I got to try the food Saturday. The restaurant was very busy again so I got my order to go. I ordered online and waited for about twenty to thirty minutes. It was well worth the wait. I have seen pics of the inside and the decorations remind me of a nice diner. I will elaborate when I actually dine in. My food was AMAZING! I had the hot honey chicken sandwich on a buttery biscuit. The tangy sauce was on the side. The piece of chicken was huge. It is a chicken thigh breaded with a crunchy coating then fried. I believe the chicken is then marinated in the wonderful hot honey sauce. So tasty! I also had to try the oat pancakes. Those were very fluffy and tasted awesome with the unique butter and maple syrup. The oat flour is very smooth. I enjoyed the my food tremendously. I wanted to try the grits but they ran out. Will return on a week day at a very early hour before items run out. This place is far from my house so it might be a good thing. If I lived closer, I would be there more frequently. Check this place out! It is delish. ”
“ Big back, big back! Whew, the way this food had me in a chokehold! If you decide to visit, know that you might have to wait a while, but trust me, it is well worth it! If you love biscuits and savory foods, I highly recommend the grits and fried chicken sandwich. You could also keep it simple and go with the classic plate. I'm definitely going back to try a few more of their delicious foods! ”
“ Super cute, solid breakfast spot in Harbor Town! The inside looks like an old school southern diner with upscale food. They specialize in biscuit sandwiches, griddle cakes, and breakfast meats. They source local when possible - like the breakfast sausage from a local farm. Great, strong coffee. They have vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy free options (ex: oatmilk). There are a couple of beer and liquor drinks on the menu. The biscuits are delicious- slightly herbed and crumbly, with a sprinkle of sea salt. My breakfast plate came with jam and it was a great sweet/savory combination. The chicken biscuit came with a big hunk of fried chicken and hot honey. Perfectly crisp and juicy chicken! Food was flavorful and done well! Our server was super sweet and attentive. Their branding is cool too - check out their shirts, hats, and bags. Cheeky take on southern swag. 10/10, will definitely be back! ”
“ I never heard of this place, but it was suggested for a breakfast date. Very quaint atmosphere. Quick and friendly service. I ordered the 2 eggs breakfast plate with bacon and a biscuit. The biscuit and the jam were the favorite things on the plate. My friend had the honey hot chicken biscuit. The honey on the chicken was great but the chicken itself could've used more seasoning. Overall it's a great place to have a quick breakfast, brunch outing. ”
“ I dig this place.... I really do.... I think the concept is pretty brilliant. I like the layout and interior design a lot and the covered patio between the buildings is just darn rad. It's like a souped up CK's. Menu is small and pretty simple. It seems to be getting smaller each visit actually. Biscuit sandwiches and a handful of other options available for breakfast, and a few more added at lunchtime. You can get breakfast all day. They are showing a meal on the online menu called the "MVP", which is exactly what I wanted on my last visit. This is still on the Kinfolk website as of today 10-14-24, but I was told that they didn't sell it any longer when I dined on 10-11-24. Now, if there were something you didn't have that was a part of that meal, I would understand telling me no, but all of it is all still available in other places on the menu. This is a pet peeve of mine.... Update your damn website! It's not that hard... Rant ended... Biscuits and gravy is freaking phenomenal! All the way. I got the most perfect sunny up egg I have ever had. Beautiful presentation, stupendous spicy sausage flavors, wild crunchy textures with the crumblyness of the biscuit, and the smoothness of a busted yolk to top it off. I could just stay right there in that bite forever if possible. Now that crumble I just spoke so highly of, hurts the biscuit sandwiches in my opinion. They kinda fall apart before you can eat it. You must be creative in your attack to get it in your mouth. I just give up and dunked what fell off in that beautiful jam of his. So it was still a win, plus I can use and knife and fork in a pinch if need be. Fried potatoes have Old Bay. If you like it, good! I warned you if you are that guy like me... I'll see your ass here soon!! '24 - 83/102 ”
“ **Kinfolk has recently transitioned to a counter-service restaurant with a limited menu ** We visited on a busy weekend morning, and found the service amazing! Although there was a large clump of people waiting to order or find a table, the staff did a great job of navigating this new style of service and easily moved between taking orders, bussing tables, and delivering food. We ordered the chicken biscuit and the ham, egg, and cheese biscuit. The biscuits were huge and perfectly baked - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The chicken biscuit was by far our favorite! Definitely worth a trip to Harbor Town to eat at this cozy and eclectic brunch spot. ”
“ First time eating at this Harbor Town eatery ... great breakfast and lunch place. Seating both inside and outside ( we sat outside). You order at the counter, pay, take a number and they bring it out. A lot of people were getting the chicken biscuit which looked great ... but kinda heavy for what I wanted today. Will try that another time. I had a BLT and it was one of the best with fantastic bacon, perfect bread a great tomato's.... I highly recommend. Someone else in the group had a Caesar salad with the fried chicken... was really done well with an added twist of strawberries. Biscuits and gravy looked amazing. Everything looked great , you can't go wrong. Took a stroll to the river walk after to walk off a few calories. We'll be back ”
